About Lynda Kay
I’m a Wife, Mother, Grama Kay, Filmmaker, Songwriter, Editor, Researcher, Natural Health enthusiast and hopeful Green Off The Grid™ Homesteader.
I’m passionate about my family and God’s purpose for my life.
I am Choctaw and a tribal member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Tracing my ancestry has been adventurous and some of the more fun research I’ve done.
I love the outdoors and the smell of a campfire.
Gardening has always been very gratifying to me.
Spending time at our local nursing homes visiting and singing with the residents is a real blessing.
I read for information, so naturally I’m a researcher. I’ve spent many years researching health and changing our family’s lifestyle habits…..the journey goes on. We continue to enjoy my down home cookin’, but in a healthier way. This goes hand in hand with my desire to homestead.
Our homestead project is in the development stage as I continue to research and put the puzzle together. I’ve drafted the basic layout and I’m working on acquiring property. House plans are being developed as well, incorporating as many natural resources as economically possible.
I’m asked questions often that require data from my research, but finding time to dig through my collection of information to unearth an answer is nearly impossible. There is so much that I sort and sift through to glean the best applications.
I’ve been asked to start a newsletter…no time for that.
My daughter, Sarah, suggested I start a blog to post short blurbs with links on what notable information I come across, pointing those interested in a “where to start” direction.
I have to mix in some fun stuff, too.
So, here I am.
